Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri maintains the highest level of respect for the privacy of visitors to our website and our supporters. The following is our privacy policy, which guides our volunteers and staff on how they may and may not use your personal information while honoring your rights.

Personal Information

Users can visit CCSOMO website without revealing any personal information. CCSOMO collects and uses personal information from visitors to our website and donors only when the information is voluntarily provided to us. That information may include name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and comments. CCSOMO does not sell, trade, rent or share names, addresses, telephone numbers, or e-mail addresses of our visitors or donors with any other person or organization. CCSOMO uses contact information (e-mail, telephone number and address) of visitors and donors for internal purposes only, including:

  • Registration for special events
  • Distribute receipts for donations
  • Thank donors for their donations
  • Inform donors about news, upcoming fundraising events and other activities of CCSOMO
  • Internal analysis and record keeping
  • As required by law or judicial proceeding

As a rule, CCSOMO publicly recognizes a donor by publishing a donor’s name unless the donor explicitly chooses to be anonymous when making a donation. Users may opt to stop receiving communications from CCSOMO at any time. Please contact Maureen Jersak if you would like to stop receiving mail, phone or e-mail information. CCSOMO stores addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses received from donors in our development software system, Raiser’s Edge, a state of the art database management system. To protect the privacy of donor records, only authorized staff has access to this database, and all information is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Credit Card Information

The CCSOMO website does not collect or store credit card numbers – those are processed through a third party vendor,, a trusted third-party payment platform and an industry leader in processing online donations. Its privacy policies can be reviewed at Information from our on-line giving site is encrypted using Secured Sockets Layer (SSL), an industry standard secure technology to protect sensitive information online.  SSL encryption is indicated on the donor’s web browser by the display of a lock or key on the browser status bar. You should not transmit confidential or sensitive credit card information to us directly using e-mail. Any changes to our online giving privacy policy will be posted to this privacy statement.

Refund Policy
