The Bishop’s Walk for Catholic Charities—Families Helping Families—will be Sunday, April 15. Bishop Edward Rice will be participating at the Bishop’s Walk in Joplin.
The Bishop’s Walk is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need! It’s also a fun, family-friendly, and community-building event. But most important, all proceeds support the poor and vulnerable in our communities through the programs of Catholic Charities.
Locations have been finalized for parishes located in Cape Girardeau (Notre Dame Regional High School), Joplin (Cunningham Park) and Springfield (Springfield Catholic High School). Many parishes are walking at or near parish property, or at a local school or park. For a complete list of Bishop’s Walk locations, scroll down to the bottom of this page.
Last year, we had more than 1,000 participants, and Bishop Rice presented the traveling trophies to St. Mary’s Church in Lamar for greatest percentage of parishioners participating, and to Our Lady of the Cove Parish in Kimberling City for most money raised.
