Village of Pinhook Rebuild

This morning, Congressman Jason Smith visited the site where houses are being rebuilt for some of the residents of the Village of Pinhook that was destroyed by flooding in 2011. Representative Smith gave a donation from his salary during the government shutdown to Pinhook in support of the rebuilding efforts. Housing project gives former Pinhook residents a new sense of community

Catholic Charities is honored to be a part of the rebuilding of the homes for the former residents of Pinhook. Their homes were destroyed in 2011 when a levee on the Mississippi River was blown to control flooding elsewhere.
