Bishop James Johnston will preside at both Masses this Sunday, May 29th, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Joplin. Mass times are at 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. St Peter is located at 812 S. Pearl Street in Joplin.

While the west side of our diocese struggles to uncover from the damage caused by the tornado last Sunday, May 22nd, let us not forget the devastation suffered by those on the east-side of the diocese from flooding.
“We’re just encouraging survivors of the prayers and the support of the Body of Christ. We’re just trying to bring the charity of the Church to bear in the suffering of the people here. We’re just trying to reassure and comfort the people here right now, because there’s still just a lot of recovery to continue,” comments Bishop Johnston
