Case Management Update
Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri is providing case management services to the survivors of the Joplin Tornado and the floods in south central and southeast Missouri. Our dedicated case managers listen to our client's stories, help them identify their needs, locate resources and assist them in developing a long term recovery plan that will lead to self sufficiency.
Since the tornado on May 22, 2011, Catholic Charities case managers in Joplin have assisted over 9,500 individuals which equates to approximately 3,000 families. The needs of these families are great especially affordable housing. Donations are needed for rent and utility deposits, car repairs and medications. Building supplies and appliances are needed for home repairs and home rebuilding.
Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri continues to assist the flood survivors in Southeast Missouri by helping families with case management services through our offices in Van Buren and Cape Girardeau. Many of our clients are needing assistance with rent deposits and home repairs.
