Van Buren Update
On September 26th, Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri opened a disaster case management office at 402 Elsie Street in Van Buren, Missouri. The office building is owned by the VanWinkle family and CCSM will be sharing the space with VanWinkle Counseling and the Red Cross. Robin Walters, CCSM case manager is providing disaster case management services to those individuals and families affected by the floods. Over 275 applications were filed with FEMA and Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri received requests to hire a case manager to assist families in the six county region. The CCSM case manager will be working in Texas, Shannon, Ripley, Reynolds, Howell and Carter counties.

Those affected by the floods also need your help with cash donations, building supplies, roofing materials especially for metal roofs and cleaning supplies. Construction volunteers and clean-up crews are needed to make repairs.
